Nutricote 18/6/8 Timed Release Fertilizer. 1 Pound. FREE SHIPPING.
NUTRICOTE TOTAL 18-6-8 TYPE 180
Timed Released Fertilizer
One pound.
Last up to 6 months.
Great for orchids, bromeliads, house and yard plants. Use on container or in ground plants.
Simply sprinkle Nutricote on top of potting medium around plant. When it rains or you water the Nutricote pellets release small amount of food into the soil.
Nutricote uniformly releases fertilizer over time, based on temperature and moisture exposure. The release is controlled by a patented chemical release agent in the resin coating. Other controlled released fertilizers depend solely on the thickness of their resin, which results in non-uniform releases. Nutricote release periods are designated by Types. The Type number indicates the number of days at 77°F that the product will release 80% of its nitrogen. For example, Type 180 will release 80% of its nitrogen evenly over a 180-day period at 77°F.
Orchids, Rhododendron, Azalea, Gardenia, Ferns, Forestry Seedling, Greenhouse Vegetables, African Violets. Nursery Crops, Cut Flower Crops, Bedding Plants, Woody Ornamentals. Most Pot Crops, Most Foliage Crops.
Directions for use: 2 — 3 Teaspoons sprinkled on top of potting medium for 6 inch pot. Can also mix in potting mediums.
1 Pound contains approximately 70 teaspoons.
Picture shows 1 pound bag.
Dependable controlled feeding of nursery, greenhouse,
foliage, landscape, bedding, potted plant including orchids.
For potted plants including orchids use 2-3 teaspoons as a top dress.
(Sprinkle on top of potting medium.)
Can be used alone but regular use of a water soluble plant food such as Peters 20-20-20 is recommended.
NUTRICOTE delivers all of these important benefits in a single controlled release fertilizer:
• Superior control of nutrient release for the most efficient use of your fertilizer investment
• Reduced leaching, so optimum fertilizer levels are maintained
• A high degree of plant safety when compared to similar products—reduced salt build-up

DESCRIPTION.
NUTRICOTE is a high quality, homogeneous fertilizer coated with a unique pliable resin that
allows very predictable release rates. All of the primary, secondary and minor nutrients are
contained in each individual prill. Release period is specified by TYPE . A Type 180 means that
at a constant temperature of 77ºF, 24 hours a day, a Type 180 will release 80% of its nitrogen
evenly over a 180-day period. Warmer temperatures will shorten release time and cooler
temperatures will extend release time.
PROPER HANDLING OF NUTRICOTE.
The POLYOLEFIN COATING of NUTRICOTE controls nutrient release. Careful handling to avoid
damage to this coating is essential. NUTRICOTE will lose its ability to control nutrient release
if the coating is damaged. Do not use blenders, mixers or applicators that may damage the
coating membrane.
CAUTION Harmful if swallowed. Keep out of reach of children. Store under cool dry conditions.
WARNING This fertilizer contains molybdenum (Mo).
The application of fertilizers containing molybdenum
may result in forage crops containing levels of molybdenum, which are toxic to ruminant animals.
