Wood orchid baskets and plaques are imported and sold as tropical hard/rot resistant wood. Most are cedar. There are many different types of cedar. All are rot resistant but not all are the same color. Color can range from brown-red to almost white.  

Baskets and plaques are great for potting and mounting orchids, tillandsia air plants, many ferns and bromeliads as well as many potted and tropical plants.
